Words cannot describe the awesome beauty of a Cappadocia sunrise as multiple hot air balloons drift over the valley. It is a truly breathtaking and surreal experience to see this beautiful part of Turkey while drifting above it in the air.
Cappadocia is repeatedly jaw-dropping. The village of Uhisar, just a few kilometres from Goreme, is built around a 'castle,' a giant protruding rock into which several floors of caves were dug. Its a short climb to the top, and the views of the surrounding areas are staggering.
A picture is a poem without words....Horace. My photos and digital paintings are picture words intended to invoke delight, thought, memories or wonder in the minds of the viewer. Some are meant to inform or instruct, but all are offered for the enjoyment of those whose eyes will explore them. I get excited about all things nature, wildlife, and nostalgia, however my travel and visits to interesting places also show up in my work.
